http://www.minimakeovers1275.com/ These guys in St Albans claim to be the cheapest in Australia. No idea on their quality but they do specialise in Mini engines so worth a shot. Maybe someone on here can recommend or condemn? |

There was a discussion on this seller before: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76897 They seem pretty new, and some people seem a bit distrusting, but from the above thread it seems that most people who have dealt with them are happy. |

well i gave him a ring and he quoted me $3500 for a new 998 engine, fully reconditioned |

well that aint honest is it. it was my dad that called him earlier, so i might ring tomorrow and see if i can woo him  hahahaha but i dont know if im willing to deal with someone like that anymore... |

LINK AUTOMOTIVE by far the best .Yes it will cost more but you will end up with an engine that will last a lot longer . |

I fully recommend Len Read in Somerville (out the back of Frankston). He builds my race engines (and many others) and puts the same quality into road cars but can work to your budget. http://www.racepointdevelopments.com/ HRS |

David Walker, ex Northern Mini from when Henry owned it builds great engines. He now works at Caufield Jag but works on Minis at home. I can dig out his number if anyone wants it. |
