Hi guys
I want to make a replica M horn push centre as I see that they are rare in good Nik.
I'm going to make a mould to have a crack at casting a new one.
I need an average one that it won't be tragedy to destroy if I that happens during the mould making process.
Does anyone have an average one that I can have?

I'm happy to offer up the first good replica I can make if I am successful to whoever has one for me?

I don't have one though here's one on ebay finishing shortly:

If you're making some I'd be interested in buying one from you to use for the centre of a Moto-lita sterring wheel...their standard "Mini" hub logo looks pretty lame IMHO.

The problem you will have is the silver coating. Casting it isn't a problem, I am working on the k bonnet badge ATM.

The silver coating to my knowledge is deposited through vacuum metalising, if you have a vacuum pump you can have a crack at this process yourself (you should invest in one to degas the resin anyway.

Also don't use polyester resin as the surface doesn't cure when in contact with air. Polyurethane Should work, just consult someone who works with this every day.
