Acewell Dashes look ok, dependes on how digital you want to go. A guy here in QLD runs one! You need to know your electrics well to adapt the gauge to your wiring. http://www.acewell.co.uk/ I believe you can get them through eBay too. Cheers Shane |

Dakota Digital have a huge range of design layout, including a nifty pod similar to original Leyland setup. The readings are in MPH etc, with pricing from about $750 US. They also have designs which would not look out of place in a round nose - football shaped. I think all the appropriate sensors and adaptors are included. Just google Dakota digital. It looks easier to wire up than a full set of VDO gauges. Mark. |

Being derivatives of the original digital bicycle speedo's, these haven't evolved enough for my liking in cars. The fact that nearly all of them have neutral lights should tell you something. The only good ones I've seen fitted in cars looked like they were the result of a lot of hard work. I've fitted a couple of the better KOSO units to two wheelers with varying success. One looked absolutely brilliant on a newer motorcycle, the other not so much on my old scooter. That said, both were a doddle to install, all the parts and connections needed were supplied, and both were able to be calibrated to within a hair's breadth over a mile. The one that didn't look good was eventually removed because it's silly size annoyed me every time I looked at it. What I'm trying to say here is these can be expensive, do your research first by downloading a drawing and sticking it to your dash where you will be looking at it every time you drive. Can you see it properly? Is it big enough? Does it suit the vehicle? I like the idea of digital displays but for me, looking at a row of needles is a lot easier to do when driving. Go the rally dash!

I agree Flash I do like the old style that's why I'm trying to find the one pictured above! Still no luck. I have a Leyland but have fitted the older Copper S style dash I love the centre dash look. In saying that my car has diverted so far from being original the idea of a modern digital dash is something I'm still thinking about! Might try your idea of printing out pictures to actual size and seeing how it looks. Cheers

Without a doubt, the coolest looking digital gauge I've seen yet. This wouldn't look out of place in any roundnose. |
