How do I get the accelerator cable out from where it goes into the firewall? I want to replace mine. |

You may find it is easier if you release the cable first from the Carby and push it through. You will then see how it goes in. gafmo In the Hills |

Unless the outer housing of the cable is stuffed just replace the inner - much easier. Just unhook it from the pedal and pull the old inner cable through from the inside (can be tricky if the inner is very worn) and then push the new inner cable through. Too easy. Anto. |

the inner cable was rooted. I bought a new complete cable and couldn't get the old one out, so I yanked it out. It left part of it attached ot the firewall, thats why I was asking how to remove the dang thing. cheers for the info. |

I'd get a hammer and a long pin punch and thump it thru from inside the cabin. Probably outer's a bit rusty is all. ![]() |
