Does anyone know of what became of Mini Pro in Brisbane? Did they go to the wall or have they changed their name? As well does anyone know of the whereabouts of a 1978 Leyland Mini Station Wagon "specially built with papers from manufacturer at Zetland" advertised in Just Cars September 2006/ Page 197? |

A married couple came down in the second half of 2013 to see us & said they had purchased the name & all the "mini pro" stock being offered. They planned to work on there own collection of cars at home using the stock purchased. He was a mechanic by trade from memory. Hope this helps. AB |

Would love to see the advert. Are you able to scan and post it here, or in a new thread? |

I called into "Smash Crash" car body repairs in Northgate, Melton Road, in early 2012. They still had a pile of 2nd hand mini stuff out the back & upstairs then, plus they were still working on customers cars as well. Still Mini Pro or so to speak, more money in crash repair the said! Haven't been back since though, I prefer to use the one and only Matt Read, great for chat & good advice too boot! Cheers Shane |

Thanks Shane for your tip however my searches have failed to find any reference to the company. I am still interested to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of the 1978 Leyland Mini Station Wagon |

I checked with the owner of the car for sale on Mini NSW web page. His car is the one featured in BMCE, http://bmcexperience.com.au/issue-24/au ... tates.html. The only conclusion I can draw is that the one for sale in Brisbane was the second wagon built which has eluded people for sometime now. Makes it even more important to find this car if possible. |
