I know this has been on the forum before but I cannot find the post. I have the old rubber uni set up which has had the uni's replaced with steel unis that have plastic/nylon caps. One of the joints is no good - I can press the cups out of the caps but I don't know which uni's to buy to use to replace them. Anyone know the uni's (or the post on the forum)?

It is a Triumph TR6 uni, available from Karcraft and elsewhere. Common p/no is GUJ102.

Kc carry a good brand as well as cheapies. I'd go the good one... their p/no is # RTC3458/1

Thanks Doc, will be chasing up a good one but car is booked for RWC on Monday so may have to use a cheapie if that's all I can get tomorrow and change it again later in week. Will also make sure that I don't lose one needle roller out of one cap as it appears PO did!

So you can just keep the nylon ends and replace the center with a guj102 if you need to?

Repco sold nylon ones many years ago but no more.

Quinton Hazell made nylon ones last but they have now gone belly up.

Se7en Industries in USA were selling some with steel caps last year, but I dunno if they still do.

Karcraft and I investigated CNC machining some steel cap ones last year, but the $ cost vs production volume beat us.

As for making plastic ones like QH did, the $$$$ for the moulds would not be worth it for the current market.
