I did read that a similar colour might have been called "Sherwood Green"
As you can see in the picture, it's not the correct colour! Image I am still on the hunt for a better match.

Iv got a couple of early 850 engines sat in the shed and seem to be the usuall bmc green. I got a litre of middle bronze green made up in a satin finish for a wolseley engine that im rebuilding its pretty much near the same give or take 40 odd years of heat and oil. wattyl do the same colour but i ended up getting a paint mob to mix it for me as it confused the bloke in bunnos ;). Not sure when the colour changed to the metalic green

I am fairly sure the colour changed when The engine number prefix changed
from 8AM To 8YU, Before someone points it out, Yes I know there are more letters after the 8
but it is the A or the Y that makes the diff in this case

John, I wonder did the Mini Van even get the 8AM motor? All the ones I have seen have the 8Y/U motor.
But I suppose the earliest one I have seen is number 1301 so there is still 800 before it that might have the UK motor.

Anyway, there is a fair chance that the colour would be the Australian colour and not the UK one.

Thanks for your help, my numbers are 8y/U/H.
I'm now thinking because I'm installing a more reliable 1275cc I will paint the the darker olive green to keep the colours more correct. Cheers.

Might not be right colour but it really does look good.

An 8AM motor, does it start better in the morning? (sorry, couldn't resist it)

Kind of the same topic, but is there a single colour the 1100s (1275) was or are there lots of colours for that too? 12YD Ta H.

Couple of 1100S blocks I have here look to be same as Cooper S light green metallic.
Mini King's enamel paint is a pretty good match.
