Vizard recomends getting your distributor curve done after you have had your engine dynoed.
The idea was that at about 500 rpm increments you fiddle around with the dizzy until you get peak power and then note the advance at that particular rev level. By combining these plots you are able to map an advance curve that will give maximum power for your engine.
I am not sure how the pulsar dizzy works but this should give whoever you decide to modify your dizzy something to modify it towards. Modifying it to a Cooper S setup would mean that you are not making full advantage of the pulsar dizzy's better spark ability.
A poor spark needs a richer mixture and more advance I think
