I have looked at all the information that I have and can't quite nail it down ,it is probably an early 64 car no. 42237 eng no.8AM/u/H 647887 I know it was an 850 |

Mine has a later car no. and it's a 63. I think you've got an English engine too, so 62-63? |

That is an interesting combination you have as from YMA2S1 41866 was supposedly the first Mini "built in Australia" (refer to discussion by "MiniKing") and was fitted, according to the good book, with engine 8Y/U/H 1001. This event took place Jan 64 thus the date of your vehicle, YMA2S1 42237 is probably Feb 64. As your vehicle is fitted with an 8AM engine I guess that the engine was left in a corner and subsequently fitted to your vehicle. I take it that 8AM/U/H 647887 is as per your build plate and not an exchange engine. |

Mine is YMA2S1 Car No: 453xx Engine: 8Y/U/H 37xx I was pretty sure it was a '63 |
