I just had new brake lines made up for my van, 4 in total, which is all the lines needed for the front of the car and it cost me $50, Cheap i thought. Just thought you lot may want to know, it is cheaper and easier to get new ones than stuff around with cruddy old ones.

Are you refering to the rubber brake hoses or the metal lines? If you mean the metal ones tell me where from - I need new brake and fuel lines throughout!

They were the metal lines. They will do them in Copper(illegal) or Metal. Mine are of course metal. The company is called Brake Pro, I went to the thornliegh store but i think they have a few around the country. They had all the parts there, so could make them up on the spot. All good i say. 8)

Bromley,
Any brake place can make up pipes. Just look a the yellow pages and find one close to you.

Funny that in England they love copper brake pipes because they don't rust like steel pipes.
Here we love steel brake pipes because they don't crack like the copper pipes. 8)

Not all brake places can make them up. Try going to midas and getting the to make them for you? They stare at you blankly and ask, "what do you mean MAKE up brake lines" Same goes for exhausts. Yet thats what they advertise themselves as.... Anyway, most independent brake ploace should be able to make them up. Just need to give them the old ones, or lengths and thread type for the lines.

that is cheap.

not long ago it cost me $20 to get a brake line made that was 30cm long, but it had brass fittings.

My lines have all brass fittings. I think these guys may be the distributers for all this kind of stuff.
