Post subject:  Does this number identify the camshaft?

Hi all
I have a second hand 1100 engine but don't know if it still has the original camshaft in it as it appears to have been rebuilt.
Does anyone know whether this number (622) on the end of the camshaft is an original serial number or a model/type number from an aftermarket manufacturer.
If it is the latter, does anyone know who made this cam and what type it is (mild/lumpy etc)?

Thanks
Dave

622 is a Camtech grind, my book has a note that says it's a C-AEA544 equivalent.
[edit] I had them me grind one, 20 years ago.

Thanks TK and Doc
The reason I wanted to know is that I already have a daily driver with a lumpy cam and it can be a PITA when you're sitting at the lights (great when you put the foot down though).
I am thinking of installing this motor in my van and wanted a nice "quiet" idle.
It looks like I might have to put up with the rattle and shake at the lights if I go with this motor.
The information is very much appreciated.
Regards
Dave
