I am rebuilding my rod change gear linkage.
Its badly worn with up to 6 thou wear in the bushings and rod.

I am pretty sure I have seen someone do a bush and seal modification here on the board

Whats my best option and materials to use for the bushing

Thanks in advance

Bernard,
You can still buy new housings in UK I think, but most s/h ones you find are probably as bad as the one you already have.
I would rebush it as I said, if the rest of the housing is OK.

I went to the seal place and they had replacement bushes in stock.

I also brought a seal to protect the bushes.

The bushes simply tapped out and its just like new.

I swapped the rod end to end to resolve the wear on the shaft

And the best bit it only costc $11.00
