Ok my extension to that question...drums or discs, any difference to the lengths of drive shafts on Baron's question? Being, rubber unis with discs changing to pots that had drums but wanting to use the same discs off the remote box with On the rod with pots? Does that make sense?

Doesn't matter whether using drums or discs. Both shaft types fit both CVs.
Pot joint shafts are different lengths to the others and their inner end spline etc is different..
