I've put this in mini chat - original pumps go for all sorts of crazy prices - I've seen from giveaways (which I missed out on) to over a grand

There is one in Adelaide that has been on Gumtree for months at $550 and no takers on it yet. I was waiting until the price dropped because you can buy new ones a lot cheaper. I would only be using it a couple of times so it is just not worth paying a lot. Maybe a mini workshop would pay good money for a really good one.

They really do vary in price and condition. I was lucky enough to pick one up off eBay two years ago for $113, plus shipping from SA. Gave it to 850man (Walker Engines) as part payment towards his labour in rebuilding my engine and gearbox. He refurbished it without much effort or cost.

Where can I buy a new one and how much?
Is $550 ok for a pump? (Or $695 as it appears now)

Make one out of scrap. A few people have done this. Dr mini and Morris 1100 made theirs out of master cylinders.
