I believe Heritage MG have them made in Australia, but the one I got from them didn't last as well as the Minispares ones I've been using the last few years |

What's a decent price? Mini sport (south rd) has some, not sure if they're Australian steel. Secondhand ones are all worn in some aspect due to the loading on the layshaft. They're not terribly complicated so one could be made, doubt it would cost you too much but would still be more expensive than a regular production one, and there's a chance it would bend like a banana when it's heat treated. http://minisport.com.au/mini-layshaft-s ... rade-steel |

John Smidt was getting them made and heat treated here, not sure if he's still got stock. Karcraft supplied UK made ones I tested last year were over HRC61 hardness and they fit fine. I used the Heritage MG ones in my 2 gearboxes and they are still OK. |

Yeah bent like a banana. LOL I got one a couple of years ago from M1n1spares. It was bent like a banana and took over six months to get a replacement. The Doc knows where to buy if you can't get NOS. |
