thought it was time to visit up north again, so going to the Gold Coast on the 14th May for 10 days, any one on here frequent this area and would like to meet up for a drink or 2 and a chat,

Us Brisbanites avoid the Gold Coast like the plague. It is the centre of the universe for drugs, gangs, bikies and bogans. And every holiday season it is full of drunk young louts. Not the sort of place us family types want to visit. We all head to the north coast or into northern NSW.

So, sorry but there aren't many of us on the GC. :)

gee, sounds like I better spend the whole time locked away in my hotel room, just to be safe, or go out with an armed guard, things have changed up that way.

10 days over Easter in Brizzy Gold coast and Sunshine coast didn't see 1 Mini or Moke maybe they have all left town .Beaut weather though just like home .

In the 1970s I saw three thugs jump out of black car, grab a fella off the footpath and beat crap out of him then throw the poor bar steward a few times up again a plate glass shop window in Cavill Mall :roll:
