Do you really want me to write it again ?? Haha I've been using auto glym on my black commodore for a while don't know if I'm using too much polish but after a week or so the polish was coming out of everywhere and leaving thin white lines over the car and in the panel gaps making it look like tiny scratches.... Don't want this to happen anymore hence the topic ? |

You might be wiping the polish off to early? But Polish does get everywhere. An old toothbrush will help get it out of the joins. I haven't used autoglym for a while now but I know it's still a good one. I'm using meguires ultimate system at the moment. Works great on my black car. |

This topic does get asked a lot. For me its Maguires all the way. You need to select the right one for your application, and make sure you use the correct CLEAN rags to remove the polish. I'm about to cut the paint back and polish it on PADDY for the next issue. Is a massive job since I do it by hand (don't like polishers for most of the work). Will do a detailed guide if anyone is interested. |

i use turtle wax, its not bad for the price. then go over it with a bit of Maguires swirl X and a microfiber |

Yeah pretty sure I was using too much of it... I would wipe it all off but after a week or 2 would just come out of the paint... Doing a commodore all buy hand gonna loose strength to rub the wax on wax off ( you read that in a Asian accent didn't you) Had anyone used chrome polish before ? The moustash is prob in need of some work eg replating but might give it a once over n see how it comes up... |

silv-o and a soft scourer works a treat if its really bad or just a rag if your just looking for some sparkle |

I've just brought a new grill so want to give it a clean up so its don't look out of place with a dirty old moustache. The chrome has some bad spots like pimples on it which are not gonna come out without sanding and replatin. |
