Floor Cross Member spot welded in?

Hey guys and gals,

The floor cross member is rusted all the way along the front of it so I am planning on replacing it.

I am thinking of welding some braces before I remove it.

How is it welded in? Are there spot welds all of the way along it or..?

Yes it's got spot welds along the flanges,
You need to either drill them out, or cut the crossmember out above the flanges then grind the remaining flanges/spots away.

The flanges is where my rust is at.

I was wondering how they would have originally spot welded that piece in - especially the spot welds closer to the middle of the car.

I will plug weld the new piece in then.
