I got this subframe with a Mini, the subframe has rust holes and is likely junk, but these brackets caught my attention, at the very front of the car. Does anyone know what Mini they are from, and what they do? I searched for different subframes online, and couldn't find any pictures of similar ones

Are they for a Moke nudge bar?

They are for a Moke bumper.

Pre 1977 moke. The bull bar/nudge bar went through the front panel. Later ones mounted under the front panel.

Right, I searched for Moke subframes before, i only saw the ones with the other mounts, so I discounted it being a Moke.
Thanks!

Good chance the top arms are a little different as well. Mokes had a small steel pad welded on where the bump stops make contact.

I didn't know that was factory, I have some here with that steel pad and thought someone was being dodgy trying to get the car to sit higher  .

Yeh I have had 6 or 7 mokes over my time and they have all had those plates. I have a rear subframe that is a few inches narrower and the front one has lugs welded to offset the shock mounts. Found out I had a railway moke.

Mokes at one stage had bump stop rubbers AYK4204 they were a fair bit larger than the mini ones 2A4332 To the best of my memory when they used 2A4332 they had welded plates when AYK4204 was used no plate was welded on the top arm
