| Post subject: | Floor Cross Member spot welded in? |
Hey guys and gals, The floor cross member is rusted all the way along the front of it so I am planning on replacing it. I am thinking of welding some braces before I remove it. How is it welded in? Are there spot welds all of the way along it or..? |

Yes it's got spot welds along the flanges, You need to either drill them out, or cut the crossmember out above the flanges then grind the remaining flanges/spots away. |

The flanges is where my rust is at. I was wondering how they would have originally spot welded that piece in - especially the spot welds closer to the middle of the car. I will plug weld the new piece in then. |
