As the title says.
I have a van with no vin plates on it has the body number stamped on the right side of the firewall but from memory tjis is only a 4 digit number. Not sure what i can do as i dont want to go through the whole rebuild and then be told i can reg the car.
If anyone could help me shed some light on this it would be a big help.

No Australian Mini ever had a VIN plate. The VIN system hadn't been invented yet.

A 4 digit number is probably correct depending on the model and year.

I don't have one either (only the 4 digit number well) and I got my 69 deluxe registered last year. As stated above just tell them they weren't invented at the time the car was built. Shouldn't have any issues.
