Hi all. I installed an LCB setup on the car a while back and am not that happy with the alignment of the two pipes at the joiner. The slip joints aren't that great either so I was thinking of taking it to the local muffler shop to get the centre branch alignment fixed (it is too close to the pot joint) and get the slip joints cut off and welded up. Any comments? |

I've had 2 sets of the LCB pipes, neither fitted very good at the joiner, bad actually. I just cut at weld and fitted intermediate pipe straight joiner, fixes alignment problem and removes a leak possibility as well. |

My current car someone has welded the Y pipe to the extractors. Makes it perfectly impossible to remove with the engine in without cutting it to bits. |

When I went to remove mine I found one pipe had welded itself into the collector. So I cut the pipe flush with an angle grinder, cleaned inside the collector when removed, then welded a new pipe stub on. I have a jig for this, does Maniflow LCBs only. |

Thanks Kev, no worries with this one though. It's a crusty perry that is being replaced by maniflows. Are you free to pop around on the weekend and time an electric dizzy for me? Can pay in beer or sorts |

I've been considering welding the y-piece to the bottom of the extractors, and then cutting the downpipes and welding a join so I can take the top and bottom parts off separately. This will also allow me to set the height of the exhaust, which is the main issue I have at the moment. I'm just not sure that the pipes are parallel enough to get a good alignment. But I still might do it sometime. |

It's getting adjusted tomorrow with better joints going on and a flex piece somewhere. I'll post some pics when we have it worked out and completed. |

Sorry to hijack the thread but what's a good muffler that give a good note for a 1275.. Current set up from the previous owner is 18" resonator then muffler... If u stand behind the car at idle u think its a Prius.. Haha I want it loud !! |

RC40 single box gives a good note and is [sort of] legal. RC40 twin box is quieter, won't attract Mr Plod. Sounds much the same as a new Cooper S did. Both pretty cheap from Karcraft and elsewhere. I have a 2" system on my 1360, muffler is a diagonal straight through single box bought from Parramatta Exhausts. I had to bung a 2" x18" Hotdog ahead of it to shut it up!  Was too drony in the car from 80kmh up.[edit] typo |

Sweet I'm going to cut the resonator out and see what it's like but would like a twin chrome tip also. There's awesome one on minisport but $300+ for a chrome muffler with twin tips is tad $$ IMO. |

Maniflow extractors, side exit twin box RC40 and middle exhaust pipe to join it all together Twin pipes are a bit of a wank really |

I need a 1.75 inlet exhaust muffler twin tip where can I get this from ? im searching everywhere online cant seem to find it. |

Go to an exhaust shop and they should be able to fabricate one for you. Mufflers easy and they should have a selection of tips for you to choose from. |
