Previous owner stripped the door catch screws and put in some oversized self tappers.
To fix it I want to install some Helicoils. The local merchant wants $78.00 for a set of 20, No 10 x 32Tpi inserts including the tap and installation tools.
It's a lot of money for just three holes ?

Anyone got any bright ideas of a simple (cheap) fix.

Phil

Helicoils are a rip off the way you have to buy them
