Post subject:  Sandblasting: brisbane

Just about to strip apart my subframe so I can get them blasted. Anyone know of a good blaster in the brisbane to sunny coast area?

I know there's a guy in Kippa-Ring / Clontaff, in the industrial estate on Macdonnell Road. I think they are called Odra Grit Blasting.
I haven't had any stuff there myself, only know from the guy across the road from me had his torana sand blasted there!

Good friend of mine did my mini at Caboolture, they are called Blastaway http://www.blastaway.com.au

+1 for Odra Blasting.

He mainly does classic car blasting and is very reasonably priced.

There is a good sand blaster at Kingston. He trades as Metal Prep. His name is RED. He does a great job. Know how to do his job.

Interested in price and end result that you got.
I am getting a few quotes now .
Odra has been the most expensive at close to 2k

Doing some investigations for my 68 mini matic resto - check out the thread :)

1- Blast Away at Caboolture use a combination of soda and sand to get the complete shell done Steve was a very nice guy to talk to and came in at a very reasonable price in fact it was one of the lowest and he sounded very confident in his quality of work. (700 exterior only no primer) extra for inside Engine bay and boot
2- Brian on Cameron Street Clontarf good bloke offered and a good conversation about how he would do it using his water and glass mix. price (800 exterior only no primer ) 150 for primer, extra for engine bay and inside boot
3- odra blasting Clontarf talk to an older guy here and he had a chat about how difficult minis were... His price was 1600 inside and out primed.

Checking out some other guys down near Murrarie tomorrow.

..... so no one in that area does cars...

Another phone quote from Graham at Northside Blastcoat was inside and out all panels $900
150 for etch primer.
