Radiator is in. 4 bolts , 2 nuts and it comes out. Love it....

Hey Guys, I have a re-cord 1100 S radiator and cowling I want to use in my MKII S. Many nb/nc guys are using them. Have mucked around with cowling and heights to fit it in with the bonnet being able to shut. I'm interested in what mods others have done to get one of these to fit? Any Pics? Thanks.......... |

I knew you could put them in a clubman/Leyland. but didn't think they would fit at all in a roundy. Because of the inner guard. You should have just recored a normal mini radiator which would have fitted no dramas and no mods needed. These provide ample cooling. Please don't go cutting or modding the shrouds and inner guard for it to fit a mk2 S... |

Looks like a close fit. I'm sure the 1100S rad must almost be a period fit  So many used to do it back in the day.Why the cuts in the cowling? |

Long slot is so I can keep the original bonnet catch. Cant push it back far enough otherwise. Used a few nutserts to attach 2 halfs of the cowling together in different spots for some extra strength and to make them easy to get at. Gotta love them! |

Why all the vent holes? The radiator fan is supposed create a vacuum effect to suck air through the radiator and out the wheel arch. In fact there should be a rubber cowling that is clipped on between the radiator and the body of the car to aid this. By drilling holes, this negates this effect and reducing radiator efficiency? Just a thought... |

Did think about that befor drilling, but like to increase flow through when behind another car, this would be above the speed the fan is effective. Top slot is original bonnet catch can be used. |
