Trying to source some wheels - had my heart set on mamba 10x5's...I know they're thick on the ground in Aus but not so much over here.

Problem - it appears the entire planet is out of mamba's, 5" or 6", unless anyone has some info indicating otherwise?

Last time I waited for wheels to come back in stock I waited over 6 months...and was promised "maybe next week" for the last 3 months of that, so I'm inclined to switch to plan B.

I was keen on 5" as the car is already painted so I was after no body mods other than fitting flares. But could stretch to 6" if I had too.

Anyone any info on the fit of Revolution 10x6's? Am I likely to have to cut the arches if I run at stock (or there abouts) height?

Any other suggestions, based on the fact I like the look of mamba (and revolution, at a stretch)?

Revolutions should fit fine, I have a set of 10's I pulled off my pickup and put cooper s rims on. I have a set of brand new cosmic 10x6 with AO32 tyres but they wont fit over 7.5 discs. I also have a set of force 10x6 race rims. PM if your keen on any of them.

Cheers
Jason

Hmmm...hadn't even thought of the caliper clearance, I thought that was only an issue for older rims?

OK so now I have new questions!

- Will Mamba 10x5's and Mamba and Revolution/Revolite 10x6" all clear minispares 4 pots?
- Will Mamba and Revolution 10x6" need arches trimmed at stock height?

Bit less than that now actually, but plus duty. UK is where I am shopping, but apparently some issue with manufacturer so all the suppliers I know of are out.

I can get 10x6 revolution locally, and just heard I can get mamba 10x6 in silver ex-UK, guess I could paint the spokes

How much import duty do they hit you up for in UnZud, and is there GST on top of that?
We are spoilt here in Oz with duty & GST free under A$1000, but I wonder how long for with all the major retailers bleating about lost sales.

You can fit 10x6 mambas over 7.9 minisport discs so 7.5 shouldnt be a worry.

Yeah the same fight is going on here, local resellers (note I don't say retailers) bleating about private imports. Add value, and I'll pay. But if you are offering the same product, with no shop where I can look and feel then boo hoo, get a job. The reality is international logistics and economies of scale mean local guys need to add value in SOME way if they wanna charge more. I can get stuff landed here from UK faster than some local guys can supply, so they're their own worst enemy.

I think the limit here is more like $300, and if they hit you with duty they will also hit you with GST. If no duty (depends on what it is) they may still do GST. Just bought NZD$560 worth in from UK, paid another $160 to get it released at this end. Moot point though, it's stuff I can't get locally even if I paid double.

I have a set of the original Cosmic's 10x6 and they were on my car with S brakes for many years, where do you get these new Cosmics?

I have a set of brand new Mamba 10 x 5, white in colour and still in the box (5 of them including caps and nuts). They are surplus to my needs now and I was going to put them onto Ebay.. Pm me if you are interested.

Fred
