A bit of a strange story. Picture this - you buy a new car for your sons, drive it home. But they are too big for the car. Do you: a) Sell/swap the car b) Never drive it again and leave it in your shed. |

I thought the story was a little different, in that he bought the cars for his sons who were, at the time of purchase, still too young to drive. He wanted them to have heirloom cars and took the opportunity at the time these special editions came out in 1989 to buy them. Then, by the time the lads were of any age to be able to drive them, they had grown too tall or whatever, and so the cars remained in situ. It then of course being part of their family "norm" for these vehicles to be parked up in the farm shed. Still unusual, however not quite as strange as you present it Irish. Davo |
