Hi there. Looking for the source of a dodgy starter noise I had a look under the bonnet today to find the top starter bolt missing and the bottom one loose so the starter was fairly loose in its position. Took it out and the missing bolt fell out of somewhere so cleaned it all up and put back with new split washers. Surprisingly the ring gear looked good and the gear on the starter was perfect. Starts a treat now so am pretty glad I picked this one up and it was an easy fix. |

It would have been fine, isn't that big thick wire supposed to stop the starter falling out the bottom? ![]() |
