Will you be recreating the amazing large piles of steering wheels and seat belts from back at Bulimba?

Are you still using that valve technology parts computer system you once had?

:)

Did " Fred" make the move from your dads to your new premises (I think that was his name that your Dad always referred to him as)?

Hey Mick, some of the seatbelts & some of the steering wheels made it... the 2nd hand stock was severely reduced from the moves (x2) & the years of dad trading,,, so altho theres still mega 2nd hand parts, its all been picked at over the years ... & the big shed that dad had most of the 2nd hand parts in had holes in the roof & pieces of roof missing so lots of rusty rubbish to sort through yet,,, it`s looking like it will take a year or so of weekend work to sort the rubbish from the good stuff

That old computer was amazing, & dad did a wonderful job programing it over the years, but it`s got the same diseases as dad has i`m affraid :-)

Bubba,,, im afraid Fred is dead,,, he died a very slow painfull death over the last few years & even after the many times that dad gave him mouth-to-mouth & revived the poor old fell just couldn`t take it any more im sorry,,, Both Jacob & Kevin have been working frantically to bring him back to life but so far no good,,, we are still trying tho,,, he was a very good computer & dads inventory/invoice/ordering program was even better, but the patch-up jobs that dad was doing over the last few years seemed to create more problems that fix anything :-(

We are still trying tho,,, i would like to have him alive & kicking in this new shop, i really would because it ran "everything" , invoices, wages, banking, inventory, general ledger ,accounts, etc etc etc & was pretty well sorted back in the day, but getting basic language to comunicate with windows is a bit beyond me im affraid... but, ya never know if ya don`t give it a go hey? so we`re giving it another chance, cross your fingers for him ok???

looking like the "ReadSpeed Re-Opening" will be dads Birthday weekend 9th & 10th of August maybe... i`m just going to check to see what events/runs that the mini car clubs have on that weekend but it seems a very appropriate weekend to me, only a month-ish away to so i`d better get cracking hey? :-)

cheers people,,,any other questions ??? :-)

Ya dad knew how to operate Fred and even though very old seemed to do the job. Lets hope he can be revived.

Good luck with the opening.
