Hi guy's and girls

I was wondering what people prep their panels with where there is an overlapping seam, like the fire-wall to the floor pan.

I have given mine a good coat in fish oil and was going to paint both surfaces with etch primer, I can't seem to find a weld through primer, from any of the auto shops near me.

Is this adequate or is there something else better?

Most automotive paint shops would have weld through primer. Repco or super cheap wouldnt. They just have basic stuff.
