Hi all I have an 1100S engine with a spin on WIX WL7098 oil filter. Does anyone know the equivalent Ryco filter number. Phil |

Z82 is one of them, Z418 is another. I buy Unipart ones now from Karcraft, (they used to carry Wix), they are cheaper there by the dozen. |

82 became 418. They fit Toyota, Mini and others. Ryco are made in China or somewhere now, these days filterz is filterz... Don't believe Ryco's marketing BS. |

Be very careful of Ryco oil filters. Last one I purchased I found a metal filing on the o ring. Gave it a tap in the palm of my hand and another half dozen metal filings came out. Returned it and checked another 3 on the shelf, same thing. Might have been a bad batch, but I haven't used one since. |

I have given up on Ryco. They are not manufacturers any more, they are importers. If I'm going to get an imported filter I might as well buy a quality one and not one from the lowest bidder. |

I've found in the past that Coopers, Cooper, Wix, Unipart, Valvoline were all good. Repco seem OK in my Falcon. I currently use Unipart, as that's what Kc has in stock since they ran out of Wix. I won't use Fram since reading US reports of how shoddy their assembly is. https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourcei ... 20problems |
