im in the process of installing a 4 core rad and have hit what seems like a slight stumbling block. as the radiator is about 1/2" thicker my fan dose not seem to fit, without the stock spacer it dosent clear the top engine steady, from minisport they have 3 choices in fans or i go the alternative of an electric fan on the wing side of the radiator, or is there a different engine steady that sits slightly different so here's the question before i spend excessive amounts of money trouble shooting a suitable solution what have others used to fit the 4 core in a leyland mini? |

Not sure if it helps or not, but there are three different types of bottom radiator mounts, two of which have different positioning of the radiator transversely. The Clubman mount moves the radiator closer to the guard. I presume that is what you have already and there is no scope to move the radiator closer to the guard. Thermofans - there are a few different opinions - you will find plenty of material on here if you do a search. In short, there is a reliability aspect to consider, and fitting them in is tricky. |

I am running a m1100 radiator and 11 blade fan, I am not sure what bottom mount i have but i had to grind away 3mm of plastic off each blade this arvo so it would clear the top of the shroud. |

i got a new fan and a 4 mm spacer, there's about 5mm of clearance of the top engine steady now, i was finding it just touched the steady without a spacer at all and didnt fit at all with the factory spacer, so my fan blades must of been a bit bent too but its all in now. cheers |

Plastic fans come in at least 3 thicknesses... The fattest (white ones) won't fit but the middle size does (on mine). However, I had to make as custom top rad mount for my S. Cheers, Ian |

Yea I found my top mount didn't fit. But Andrew at minisport bailed me out with 1 that was nearly 15mm shorter |
