With the correct bracket anything will fit!

Is it a two or three gauge cluster? What do you currently have fitted?

It should fit easy enough the real question is the re-wiring from dual to single wire. I'll have to handball that to one of the smarter members on here! Brains trust?...

To find out if you need different speedo drive gears you first need to know the Turns Per Kilometer or Turns Per Mile of your old and new speedo.
Check out this site, http://www.guess-works.com/Tech/speedo.htm the second pic down shows where the TPK / TPM will be.

All Oz Minis had the same speedo drive gears in the gearbox.
Unlike most non-British cars, the speedo head was changed if the diff ratio was.

Speedo is out of a Mini sold in japan and would be made by Nippon Seiko and fitted to a 1275 mini with 12 inch wheels I am not sure what final drive, check the revs per Klm or revs per ml on the face of the speedo

ok there is no number on the face of the speedo, but there is a number on the shaft inside of 780, as shown in the guessworks link does this sound about right?
