Hi guys, I bought this heater today hoping to repair it and fit it to the car. Has anyone got photos of the same model heater mounted in the car? I am still unsure where exactly you mount them. ![]() |

It can mount on any surface, as long as there is a gap behind it to let the air circulate. Just screw it to the firewall below the dash. They were a very common accessory heater in the 60s. |

I would have to say that the Mk2 had the biggest range of heaters. Early Mk2 cars (1969) had the left over metal Mk1 style. Then in 1970 they changed to the moulded Mk2 heater. When these ran out they started using the bullet/beehive heater as shown above in late 1970. Finally some of the last Mk2 cars in early 1971 were fitted with the Clubman style heater. Now that is a impressive range for one model. |
