change a fan belt?! I have a quick release grill so thought no probs. well after having to remove top radiator shroud, dealing with a thermo housing stud and general rooting around, it took me an hour and a half! In a workshop, not on the side of the road. The replacement belt had a beefier profile which meant I needed a tyre lever to squeeze the bugger past the harmonic balancer but still, hour and a half. Is this normal?!

No need to remove the top rad shroud, it has a clearance gap at the top/front to get the belt over the fan blades.

10 mins belt change is about right, unless the engine mount bracket has sagged too close to the harmonic balancer. Then you need to loosen the 2 horizontal bolts and stick a jack under the gearbox to give room.
