Post subject:  replacing mini rear loom

Hi has anyone replaced the rear loom in there mini, the wiring goes through the a pillar.
my plan was to attach some scrap wire and pull it through and then use the scrap to pull through the new loom.
I can't get it to pull though, does anyone have any tips?
cheers

It's a pain....
I usually tape up the end of the loom so there are no loose ends. Try and keep as thin as possible.
A straightened out coat hanger is used as the pull through....
.... But even then a bit jiggling is often required.....

If anyone has a magic trick...I'm all ears.....

I just did the one in my Traveller, I pulled a piece of strong builder's string through when I took the old loom out then used it to pull the replacement one back again. The new loom was much more flexible than the 53 year old one I took out, so it went back in very easily.
