I have an early CKD 850, car number in the mid 12000’s.

It has had a front end replaced at some stage, should it have a number in the radiator shroud?, body number or car number.

I thought I read somewhere the radiator shrouds of early cars didn’t get stamped??

The body number will probably be hidden behind the ID plate. You will probably be able to feel it from inside the car.

Around that time they switched the location of the ID plate from one side of the firewall to the other side.
