maybe one or another may find this usefull http://alum.wpi.edu/~colinb/mems_interface.html as i tend to believe nothing i read online i just gave it a try and made such an interface to test the software. and i have to say: it works! at least on my test bench, real car testing will follow. the hardest part was to find the connector at a resonable price. i used the named converter, maybe the cheap chinese clones will work, but i didn't wanted to blame the software for not working but it's the converters fault. i tried it with MEMS 1.3 and 1.6 and it worked even it says MEMS 1.6 only. i use the Windows version, but i'm sure the Linux one will work, too. |

Hopefully they keep working on it and we can get to a full equivilent of the rover system, but with improvements to the user interface- which os easy compared to an original one. |

right now Colin won't develop further, i asked him and offered some other ECUs to work on. maybe if a lot of people use the software and give feedback he would do it. |

anybody tried it? or is thinking of trying it? i put it on test with a MEMS 1.3 Rover Metro and a MEMS 1.6 Mini, both SPi, and the realtime display worked as expected. the logging function didn't worked right, i only got time stamps but no sensor data. |
