After months of no progress, the mini muster inspired me to set aside one day per week to get her finished. Thanks to some carefull welding from Matt (aka zizzle) the girls underneath is finally finished. A sprinkling of cad plating, chrome and polished alloy and she is looking the business. The rear subframe is completed along with HiLo's, adjustable camber, spax adjustables etc. All is zinc and gold plated and fitted with new brake lines. The whole shell is now up to scratch and should be ready for top coat in the next week or two. Dummy fitted up the blower to see how it sits. Oh sweet mother of God that thing is huge. Will ask sg to post the pics in gallery for yall to have a look and perhaps a laugh. I am not sure how i am going to see over the dam thing. here the pics ![]() ![]() ![]() |

They are genuine split rims. I am waiting on my new bolts to come in to complete the package. Have ordered a set of Yoki AO48R tyres that should arrive here in the next 2-3 weeks. |

Is the car street or strip ? How do you think you'll go with the height of the scoop ? If you have it passed keep a copy in the glovebox, there wouldn't be a cop car in Qld that would let you pass without pulling you over.Looks like a good project, good luck with it. ![]() |

The whole car will be engineer approved. Molly cage, carbon fibre seats, harnesses and custom brakes all need approval. I dont want any hastles whilst cruising. I have a second bug catcher that is much lower to get it through inspection. The only concern is wheel track. The rims are 13x7.5 and because of the disks a one piece rim wont fit on them in 13s so I may have to have a set of moke sunraysias handy to get it through. Being a 3 piece rim the actual metal is thinner and has a different shape so they just clear my callipers. Here is a pic of the complete motor setup (just worked out photobucket. Having a ball with this technical stuff) ![]() |
