Came home Monday to find fuel is leaking into the boot
checked all the hose fittings , but they are not the problem ,
looks like it is leaking through the seam.
pulled the tank out and the surface rust inside above the fuel level is not good
I remember something about a fuel tank treatment to coat the inside of fuel tanks to stop this rust and seal the tank,
Does anyone know what it is and has anyone used this with success ?

This is the stuff. Pour it in I believe and roll the tank hither and thither to coat the inside.

I have used the por kit several times and always had great success. It is a 3 stage process that takes a few days to do while it dries in between steps. You can get just the motorbike tank size which is enough for a mini tank.

Looked at the KBS web and watched their videos
They welded the tank up first
I like Por15 product , Used the Por15 and their chassis black on my sub frames
came out great and is as though as
Might ring VG auto Paints and see if they stock the Por 15 fuel tank stuff
I will do both tanks while I am at it

I have used the KBS kit recently on my recent mini project, works really well and sets like fibre glass resin. Only issue was the filter in the tank got clogged even though I had air blowing through while the resin set.
I have a kit spare as I bought 2.

Hi Michael
Would one kit be enough to do 2 tanks ?
If so would you be interested in parting with your spare kit ?
Pm me if so

I have one of the motor bike kits and it was more than enough to completely cover the inside of one mini tank with a bit left over but not enough for two tanks
