What's everyone's thoughts on this engine. Worth a look or a can of worms? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1708373985 |

It's basically used, and on its last rebore at 1380cc, I'd pass on it. You could liner it back to std but it'd cost heaps. IMO not worth doing unless you get it real cheap and it's going into a genuine Mk2S. |

Thanks Doc. It would be for a genuine MK2 S. Will watch the price and see how it goes. |

Thanks Simon. My old man has had a 1970 MK2 S sitting in the shed for bout 15 yrs now. When he bought the car it had been raced at some stage in its history and had the engine replaced with an 1100 S. He got it out of the shed last weekend polished it up and is now on the hunt for a MK2 S engine to finish it off. Attachment: image2.jpg Image resized and rotated by winabbey |

Nice, very nice ![]() If you want it re-sleeved I can highly recommend Performance Modification in Osbourne Park WA (if you win the auction of course, fingers crossed for you) |
