To check position of pads when putting your old cars on a hoist.
as the floors may be a bit fragile it may be a good idea to put the pads under sub frames.
from experience!

Image below shows the factory recommended hoist lifting points. They are on the subframes and NOT the floor.

makes me laugh, who's ever seen a hoist that'll actually fit under a mini, other than the type in picture, and they're ancient history.

Doesn't change the fact that the lifting points are on the subframes and not the floors, which is what that image illustrates.

I have used other designs of hoists that easily lift by the the subframes. If someone thinks they can only lift by the floor, they are either incompetent or lazy, so take your Mini somewhere else.

We have a benpac super low pad hoist at work and it doesn't even go close. And the scissor lift one is too long to fit between wheels.
I put wheels onto 4 pieces of wood to get it high enough to get pads under..... and yes, on the subframe.
