Hi all,
I have a mate who is looking at getting his car registered soon. He would like to know the year of manufacture. Its a sliding window mini. Has no ID plate. Does not have any number visible on the radiator cowl but could be covered with paint. The only numbers are 1435 marked clearly on the drivers side of the firewall and 56540 on the passenger side firewall. Does the above sound normal for an early mini? or would it be all a bit dodgy?
The car has been modified a fair bit so its far from original so I guess it does not matter too much if he has to have it re stamped through the RTA rego process.

Any info would be appreciated.

If your car has been YMA2S1 56540 this would make it a December 64 Morris 850. It should have a 8Y/U/H engine around number 17000 for complete correctness.
