:? Trying to find the length/size of the fuel line!? Can anyone tell me how long it is? (From fuel tank to filter?) And also how hard is it to change? Its a 1975 Leyland Clubman S

Was changing the knuckles on the rear and the F*$KING fuel line cracked and now got fuel eveywhere! :oops: And to make matters worse the things too short now. :(

Secondly....stupid question? stupid answer?
How on earth does the engine come out? (I cant seem to figure this one out) apparently there are 4 bolts for the subframe and then you just lift the car off? (dont think so! :shock: )
Any one with pics for removing an engine for a 1975/76 Leyland Clubman S would be very grateful :D

I too am interested in info on fuel lines. Planning on replacing fuel and brake on the van.

Well to take the subframe out with the engine on it is a bit more difficult then without the engine on it but it is generally the same, but what you have to do is take the connections off (fuel, brakes, etc) then you undo the steering rack, undo the suspension tower nuts and if it is a hydro mini (don't know if it is or not) then drain the suspension fluid take out the hoses and then undo the suspension tower nuts, and get a few guys to help lift the body up while you roll the engine/subframe away. Easy, isn't it? If you just want to take the motor out then first get the engine supported by a crane or something then undo the left engine steady then the pivot mount thing under radiator (2 bolts) then the other pivot mount under flywheel housing (2 bolts) then it should lift out but dont forget to remove the gear change mechanism thing, and that is about it but if I'm wrong I'm sure some one with more knowledge will guide you.

the good doc has made new metal fuel lines, from tank to motor.

It's not that hard actually. I wanted to do mine, and I have done pipe bending before....but I couldn't be bothered. :?

but more importantly is the fuel line - this is in my run around =(
its attached but not by much :shock: about 5 mil :shock:

have to check each time i drive anywhere that its still there! :!:
