Post subject:  Whose car has been on TV?
Bromley, Jess and myself were on the local news tonight after our club birthday weekend. They even showed some of our restoration pics. I know JAM has been in the mini experience along with other ausmini cars, but what about ev1 else? tell the world (ausmini world that is) about your moment of fame!

It was a 2 minute feel good story at the end of our local news. I am doing Rove, Oprah and Bert next week - Stay tuned!

YAY
i was ME on TV and teh roof on my mini was on TV, Josh's mini was on TV, and Gordies deceased van was on TV lots on the day of Minifest 2004 8) on the 2 stations that had a brief display on the News. grandfather taped it so i seed it when i came home :wink:

My Old LS was on the news. It Was On 7's news as there was flash flooding. The mini was full of water to the top of the doors. Once i got all the water out of the car i started it "1st go" and drove home. Was funny to see it on the news that night but the smell of damp cloth was bad for weeks!

I remember that! my mini was also on the tv for some car wash money raiser for soemthing.... :D

My minis haven't been on yet..... but my Mazda has been on RPM, a Classic Adelaide show, the news twice and also on a segment during the Clipsal 500 (channel 10 every time). My old car club was involved in alot of promotional work, doing displays in shopping malls, motorsport events, doing official promotion for Auto Salon...... I guess it was just a part of being in the club.

Mazda - Hot 4's, four page article.... and single photos in about 7 or 8 other editions
MR2 had a half page thing in a club shoot for Hot4's aswell.

My MR2 got a bad wrap on the news once during a Police blitz report. That was funny. :lol:

Getting one of my minis on TV or in a magazine will be better than all my other times put together, simply due to the personal effort being put into the rebuilds.

My 850 Dorothy was used on a comercial for magnum retro icecreams "get a taste of the 60's.

Took all day to shoot 2 seconds or less but paid OK.

Ive never gotten on TV but my other car has a 6 page spread in Performance Ford this month. Pages 45-51 :D
