You can Kinda see it in this pic, but how do you get to the top of the drives break hose on a 78 leyland. The passenger side has a handy cutout (that may not be standard not sure), but the drivers side looks as if the panel was pulled away to get in at some stage.... How are you mean to do it??? ![]() |

You can get at it from above with sockets & difficulty, or.. You can bend the panel out for access then bend back when finished, or.. You can cut a slot in the inner guard like on the LH side. My car is a bitsa, so I eventually (after 20 years) took the 3rd option. ![]() |

Babes wrote: Almost as shitty as rear radiator surround bolts! Hey there's a trick here- Slot the top half of the shroud to the bottom edge, where it fits over the middle rear screw. Then you can leave that screw in, just loosen it off and remove the top half. Works for me... |

i did mine through the top, was pretty easy using a small handled 1/2". i drained my brakes first as i knew i couldn't do the drivers fast enough just gotta disassemble everything on that long bolt before it |

I used a brake union spanner and slotted that on the top, then got underneath. It's an awful job, I did notice that my panel was bent where somebody has bent it out before... |
