Hi All,
As the title states I would like to see some Jet red mini photos. Good ones preferably. I want to decide if I paint my car this colour. There seems to be not that many around. Maybe its not the best red to do a mini.....but its the original colour of my S.

Cheers
Ian

My `Matic was Jet Red originally. I redid it in 2 pack Jet Red around 4 years ago.
Paint is Concept Paints from VG Auto Paints. Solid colour, no clear coat. It's a bit brighter than original but I like it.
[edit] colour was mixed from VG's chart.

Guys, Both cars look great. I think Peters looks closer to the original colour...........Mine was all over red also so great photos for me to think about.

Having a quote done at the moment to have all the 69 Bathurst stickers done for it. If its affordable, red will have to be the colour, Otherwise I was leaning toward Marine blue even though its not a 69 colour.

Cheers
Ian

For prosperity and value I would encourage you to paint it in the original colour. But then again its your Mini and Minis are almost always meant to be modified to your taste so have some fun. At least it's still a Mini colour rather than some horrible metallic!

When I bought the car from the previous owner it was Indigo Blue. My Panel van is squadron Blue and my current Mini K project Cadet Blue, My wife's Captiva is also blue.......Blue all over the place. Want sort of a change.
Does anybody know if there are any restrictions/complication/legalities on registering a car on Full NSW rego with ALL '69' era Bathurst signage?

So many cars have signage, advertising wrap, as long as vision is not obscured for the windows & screen or the operation of the lights etc, there should not be an issue.

There is no restrictions in NSW as far as I'm aware. There used to be a thing about "Competing in Illegal Competitions" but that was wiped in the early 90s.
I seem to recall that most of the problems came from CAMS and not the Police.

Cool, just need the sticker place to come up with a good price for me for all the stickers. Would like them as magnets but they recon I'll need a second mortgage on my house to be able to afford them!

Garagedefend,

I drove the Mini to Bali, My Vespa is preferred transport when the traffic is mad as it usually is over here. In fact the Vespa is perfect for this place, drives really well, and is comfortable. Runs off the smell of an oily rag, starts 1st time and is 53 years old... The Mini is great but for the traffic and it's bloody hot with no aircon (Interior is black....). It is a chick magnet over here so not all is bad!
