Looks like a cross between a 1914 mercer and a hot bulb. I'd be guessing around that era. Did recondition a 1911 engine with one piece head/cylinder and that looks similar.

Your answer is found in crawling over it with a rag and looking for casting names or stamped names, they will be there.

I think it will be petrol. The red paint and the hoses on the wall are a big clue.

Interesting stuff, I've never heard of a T head. Its a twin underhead cam sidevalve crossflow!
