Well I needed to get my speedo re-calibrated due to a new diff. That all went well until I re-installed everything and now the temp gauge hits the max in no time, i.e. about 3-4 minutes. Have I screwed the wiring up?

Yes, it sounds like you have mixed your wiring up on the voltage stabiliser.

Mmm, thanks guys. I did check that and the fuel gauge is fine.
Green with blue tracer to the sender and green to the reg. Left and right respectively sides looking at the front of the dial.
I know that the engine is not running hot so it is a gauge issue.

Any other clues?

The only thing I can think of is when you plugged your green wire into your voltage reg that you may of plugged it into the B terminal not the I terminal. I terminal is the correct 10volt you need for your temp/fuel gauges, and the B terminal is 12volt for your wiper motor.

Anyone got a pic that shows which wire goes where on the back of the reg?

Am glad that's over....pulling that binnacle in and out 4 times was doing my head in.
