I wonder who?

Not long to go now.
Don't forget to nip up those bottom mounts!

Cheers

Once upon a time, there was a Mini. It had a nice standard 998, but it wanted to be bigger :? . For 3 years it sat patiently waiting for some attention.

Then, one day, there was some action.....

About 3 months later, it was hapily given a +.020" bore, 1098 crank, RE13 cam, PORTED head, twin carbs etc.....and it was finally happy :D

JAM has been motorless for a LONG time......and here he is, with a big grin on his lovely slab front:

Image

....and is the happy motor, eagerly waiting to be fitted to JAM.

Image

But before we could drop it in, we had to make sure it had oil pressure. So we tried to crank it over....and tried...and tried.... My apprentice even borrowed his own starter motor, because this damn motor just would not turn over!!!!!

Image

Finally we got it cranking and good oil pressure. Up up and away!!

Image

Come on mate....you are doing all the work here.....give us a smile!!

Image

There....there.......soon you will be tucked into bed :)

Image

:D and finally the original 998 motor is safely back where it was when JAM rolled off the production line

Image

A MASSIVE THANKS TO AARON, FOR THE HELP AND EXPERT ADVICE. Couldn't have done it without you mate.....and you saved MANY spanners from being hurled accross the garage!! 8)

Haha He's been calling me that all day, whilst saying"How do you do that, Why are we doing this, geez these Clevis pins are hard to get in, I can't get the bolt into the the engine mount..."

you did well Anton, and you only scratched it once :( Not bad for your first go and all. But maybe you should invest in a good set of jumper leads....

Hope you got it all done. Gear shifter go in ok?

Cheers

Aaron
